  • Career Services is offering a free workshop on resume writing from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Students are required to check in at the Career Services reception desk in the lower level of Old Main.

    The workshop discuss resume formats and how to make works experiences stand out. Writing a cover sheet and including references will also be discusses.

  • The Tucson Pima Arts Council presents PJ O'Connell, producer of over 150 documentaries, to show his film "Visiting with Darlene" in the Kiva Auditorium of the Education Building at 6 p.m. Admission is free.

  • The Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium presents "The Comets are Coming," an exploration into the nature and origin of comets at 7:30 p.m. The laser light show schedule is: "Psychedelic Hog," featuring music from the '60s at 8:30 p.m.; "Lollapalaser II," featuring music from bands in the last five Lollapalooza tours at 9:30 p.m.; "Metallica II" at 10:45 p.m. and "Pink Floyd's Darkside of the Moon" at midnight.   • The American Society of Information Science is meeting in the Main Library Room 313A at 10 a.m. ASIS members and all information professionals, technologists and scientists are invited.

  • The UA Softball team plays Washington at 6 p.m. at Hillenbrand Stadium.

  • The UA baseball team plays the University of California Berkley today at 7 p.m., tomorrow at noon and Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Frank Sancet Field.

  • The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "Everyone Says I Love You" at 7:30 p.m. 9:30 p.m. today, tomorrow and Sunday. Admission is $2.50.
