- The Library offers a free workshop, "Internet: Beyond the Basics," in the Science and Engineering Library Room 311 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
- The fifth annual conference of the Holocaust presents Zev Garber, professor at Los Angeles Valley College, to speak on "Christian and Jewish Responses to the Holocaust," at the Hillel Center, 1245 E. Second Street at 7 p.m.
- The College of Medicine program in Integrative Medicine presents Dr. Tenzin Choedrak, chief physician of the Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute and personal physician to the Dalai Lama, to speak on "Basic Principles of Tibetan Medicine" in the University Medical Center's DuVal Auditorium at 7 p.m. Admission is $5.
- Ecology and Evolutionary Biology presents Edward Guerrant, conservation director of Berry Botanic Garden to speak on "Comparative Demography of Erythronium Elegans and the Conservation of Rare Plants," in the Bio Sciences West Building Room 301 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
