  • Students for a Free Tibet present Dr. D. Dawa, of the Dalai Lama Medical Institute, to speak on "Ways to Use Tibetan Medicine and Buddhism for Good Health," in the Bio East Building Room 100 at 7 p.m.

  • The Mathematics Department presents Virginia Johnson, of the UA Math Department and Deer Valley High School, along with Palua Klein, of the UA Math Department and Sunnyside High School, to discuss "A Student Project: Designing a Roller Coaster," in the Mathematics Building Room 501 from 4:15 p.m. until 5:15 p.m.

    Sunnyside students, working with Hughes Engineers, have designed a roller coastr. Klein and Johnson will discuss the project and student experience.

  • The fifth annual conference of the Holocaust presents Alicia Appleman-Jurman, author of "Alicia, My Story" to speak on her experiences during the Holocaust at the Hillel Center 1245 E. Second Street at 7 p.m.

    Appleman-Jurman speaks about her endeavors to save Jews from the Gestapo when she was a teen-ager in Poland.

  • Ecology and Evolutionary Biology presents Michael Lynch, of the University of Oregon, to speak on "The Role of Mutation in Evolution and Extinction," in the Franklin Building Room 202 from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

  • The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "Evita" at 7:30 p.m. and 10:05 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
