Publicity for Spring Fling inaccurateEditor:Can somebody please explain to me how a carnival which has lost money two years in a row can still qualify as the largest carnival in the nation? Are we talking square footage or what, exactly? My undergraduate university has a carnival which is also touted as the largest carnival in the nation, except it earns huge amounts of money for a student-created and student-run summer camp for underprivileged children. It also has tens of thousands of attendees, receives hundreds of thousands of dollars from outright corporate donations, has more rides and booths within a larger space and has been going strong for 56 years. Someone should tell UCLA to stop stomping on the UA's superior carnival machine.
