  • The Library offers a free workshop on how to use QuickSearch in the Science and Engineering Library Room 311 from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

  • The Department of Physics hosts its 13th annual "Physics Phun Nite" in the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building Room 201 at 7:30 p.m.

  • The Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium presents "The Comets are Coming," an exploration into the nature and origin of comets at 7:30 p.m. The Laser Light show features music from Nirvana and Pearl Jam at 8:30 p.m. General admission is $6 and $5 for students.

  • The Archaeological Institute of America presents Stephen Ortiz, doctoral candidate, to speak on "New Light on the Philistines: Recent Discoveries at Biblical Ekron" in the Franklin Building Room 210 at 5 p.m. A slide presentation accompanies the lecture.

  • The Center for Transfer Students hosts an informational meeting on Career Services at the UA at 1 p.m. in the basement of Old Main.

  • The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "Evita" at 7:30 p.m. and 10:05 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
