Students should attend regents' tuition meeting

Editor:

Do you know how much you will be paying for tuition or your residence hall next year? Does anyone on the whole campus know? Does anyone in the world know?

The answer is NO!

Tuition and residence hall rates have not even been determined yet!

This might be bad news for the foresighted students budgeting their money for next year, but it's good news for those of us who do not want to pay more then we have to for our tuition and residence halls. This is because the Arizona Board of Regents is asking for student input on how much to raise next year's rates before they decide in late April what will show up on your bill next semester.

Each year, the board of regents gives their attention to the opinions of the students at the UA.

Each year, unfortunately, there are only a few students who speak on raising tuition and residence hall rates at this forum.

Each year, tuition and residence hall rates are raised.

Each year, we all bitch and moan about the university charging an arm and a leg for tuition and residence halls.

This year, why don't you make a difference?

The board of regents will be holding their hearing in Harvill, Room 217 on April 17 at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited! Join your fellow Wildcats and tell the board of regents to "Show you the loot!"
