  • Career Services offers a free workshop on how to plan your job search from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. Students are required to check in at the Career Services reception desk in the lower level of Old Main.

    The workshop discusses which strategies are most effective and where resources are available.

  • The Department of Psychology presents Dr. Victor Shamas, of the psychology department, and Dr. Patricia Hursh, a psychotherapist, to speak on "What is Your Gift", a lecture on planning a career, in the Psychology Building Room 306 at 7 p.m.

  • The American Red Cross will be at the University Medical Center collecting blood donations from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. They will also be at the College of Pharmacy from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

  • Steward Observatory Public Evenings presents Rainer Mauersberger to speak on "Submillimeter Astronomy with the Heinrich Hertz Telescope" in the Steward Observatory Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

    After the hour-long lecture there is a question and answer period. If the weather permits, te audience can view the night sky though the telescope at Steward Observatory's campus station, aided by members of the UA Astronomy Club.

  • Ecology and Evolutionary Biology present James Thomson to speak on "Pollinator Traffic Jams: Special Problems of High Visitation Rates," in the Franklin Building Room 210 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

  • The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "First Strike" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
