  • The Library offers a free workshop, "Internet: Beyond the Basics," in the Science and Engineering Library Room 311 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.

    The workshop covers the features of Netscape Navigator software, including advanced searching techniques, file transfer protocol and bookmarks. The workshop is designed for those who have attended the "Introduction to the Internet" workshop.

  • Career Services offers a free workshop on how to plan your job search from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Students are required to check in at the Career Services reception desk in the lower level of Old Main.

    The workshop discusses which strategies are most effective and where resources are available.

  • The Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium presents "The Comets are Coming," an exploration into the nature and origin of comets at 7:30 p.m. The Laser Light show features music from Nirvana and Pearl Jam at 8:30 p.m.. General admissions are $6 and $5 for students.

  • The Memorial Student Union's Union Gallery features "Intercambio" watercolors by select artists from the Museo de Acuarela from Toluca, Mexico and from select faculty members in the UA Art Department

  • Building Academic Community Speakers Series presents Jeffrey Haskell, professor of Music and Dance, to speak on "Jazz Is Like A Banana - You Eat It On The Spot," in the Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre from 12:15 p.m. until 12:50 p.m.

  • The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "Scream" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
