A Tucson man was arrested on two indecency charges after university police saw him showing his penis in public Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital, 1601 W. St. Mary's Road, police reports stated.

Police were leaving the emergency area of the hospital about 10:07 p.m. when they saw a man, Robert Murray III, 43, of a general delivery address, holding his penis out of his pants and shaking it around, police reports stated. Reports stated that Murray was standing outside the emergency door with an unidentified female.

Police reports stated that a 12-year-old boy and another man were sitting against a wall about 10 feet away from Murray.

When Murray saw police exit the hospital, he put his penis back into his pants, police reports stated.

Police asked Murray what he was doing, and he said, "She called me a bitch, I showed her I wasn't," police reports stated.

When police asked the 12-year-old boy what he saw, the boy said, "I saw him whippin' it around," police reports stated.

The man told police he did not see what Murray was doing but was offended by it. The boy and the man told police they wanted to press charges.

When police again asked Murray why he would expose himself, he said he had "16 inches" to show his girlfriend, police reports stated.

Murray was arrested on charges of indecent exposure to a person under 15 years old and indecent exposure. He was booked into Pima County Jail.

A Tucson man was cited on trespassing charges Sunday near the Mount Graham International Observatory.

A Graham County Sheriff's deputy told university police about 1:30 p.m. that he noticed bicycle tire tracks on an access road to the observatory. The road is marked with no trespassing signs.

An officer and the deputy walked down the road about 40 yards from the observatory and found two bicycle tire tracks and a set of tennis shoe tracks, police reports stated.

The officer checked the perimeter and buildings of the site and found nothing unusual. The officer left the site about 2:30 p.m. and saw two sets of bicycle tracks on some areas of the road.

The officer contacted another officer who was en route to the observatory and told the officer to attempt to locate any bicycles on the road or vehicles hauling bikes.

The officer coming up to the site stopped a man, Philip J. Navarre, 28, of the 9300 block of East Speedway Boulevard, about 3:05 p.m.

Navarre told police he had been biking on the dirt road and admitted to riding up to the telescopes.

When police asked if Navarre had seen the no trespassing signs on the road, he said he did.

Police reports stated Navarre's tennis shoes compared to the shoe print seen by police earlier.

Navarre told police he was not a member of any type of environmental group but just wanted to get to the peak of Mount Graham.

Navarre was cited on a charge of third degree criminal trespassing and released at the scene.

University police had to stop a man from following a female employee into a ticket sales area Wednesday after he complained about noise coming from Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium, 1700 E. Second St.

The man complained to the employee about noise generated by a softball game at the stadium about 5:10 p.m.

Police reports stated the man began to "escalate" while speaking to the employee when she said she was unable to resolve the man's complaint.

As the employee turned to leave, the man attempted to force his way into the ticket sales area, police reports stated.

An officer working at the ticket sales area put his right arm up to stop the man and told him that he could not enter the area. Police reports stated that the officer's forearm was touching the man's shirt sleeve.

The man told the officer, "Don't ever touch me again. I know Deputy Chief (Harry) Hueston and (Lt.) Brian Seastone," police reports stated.

The officer directed the man to an area away from the ticket sales area. The man met with the event coordinator and left the area without further incident.

The employee told the officer that she did not want to press charges but would give an official report of the incident to her supervisors.
