  • The Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium presents "The Comets are Coming," an exploration into the nature and origin of comets at 7:30 p.m. The Laser Light Show features music from Pink Floyd's Darkside of the Moon at 8:30 p.m.. General Admission is $6 and $5 for students.

  • Ecology and Evolutionary Biology presents Robert D. Holt,of the Department of Systematics and Ecology at the University of Kansas, to speak on "Conservation Implications of Niche Conservation and Evolution: A Theoretical Perspective, "in the Franklin Building Room 210 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

  • The Building Academic Community Speaker Series presents Pamela J. Davis, assistant professor of Clinical Medicine and Director of Clinical Research Unit, to speak on "Women and Medicine," in the Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre from 12:15 p.m. until 12:50 p.m.

  • The Math Department is showing the "The Cuckoo's Egg" in Bio Sciences West, Room 301 from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m.

    The movie is a comedy-thriller about tracking a spy through the maze of computer espionage told by Cliff Stoll, who has a doctorate from the UA. Stoll uses the Internet to crack an international spy ring involved in passing information to the KGB.

  • The Poetry Center Spring Reading presents "Persona Reading," contributors to the UA's undergraduate literary/art magazine in the Modern Languages Auditorium at 8 p.m.

  • The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "The English Patient" at 7:30 p.m. and "Cause N' Defect" at 10:30 p.m. Admission is $2.50.

Fact of the Day

The University of Arizona baseball team has won the College World Series three times Ä in 1976, 1980 and 1986.
