  • The Cancer Biology Seminar presents Michael Gamcsik, of Hematology and Oncology of the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center, to speak on "Glutathione Metabolism in Drug-Resistant MCF-7 Breast Cancer Cells," in the Arizona Cancer Center Room 2920 at 9 a.m.

  • The Museum of Art, in conjunction with the Art Department, hosts a presentation displaying graduating Master of Fine Arts candidate works in various media

    including photography, painting, sculpture and mixed media in the Joseph Gross Gallery. The works range from traditional to conceptual and represent the diverse backgrounds of the exhibitors.

    Exhibiting artists are: Savio Aguiar, Val Carter, Matt Cotton, Scott Hopkins, Nancy Kriebel, Marlys Kubicek, Caitlin Masley, Ethimia Paikos, Stephanie Ryan, William T. Vaith, Michelle F. Wawraszko, Patricia Wood and Sol Zimmerman.

  • The Ecology and Evolutionary Biology seminar presents Emilia Martins, of the Department of Biology at the University of Oregon, to speak on "Phylogenies and the Comparative Method: Inferring the Evolution of Behavior," in the Franklin building Room 210 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

  • The Faculty Senate meeting is being held in the College of Law Room 146 from 3 p.m until 5 p.m

  • The Global Change Seminar presents Lisa J. Graumlich, of the UA Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research, to speak on "Multi-Millennial Records of Climatic Variation and Upper Treeline Dynamics in the Sierra Nevada," in the Center for Creative Photography from 3:15 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

  • The Chemistry Department presents Keith Johnston, graduate student, to speak on "Unique Chemical Architecture," in the Chemistry and Biological Sciences building Room 218 at 4 p.m.

  • The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "The People VS. Larry Flynt" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:55 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
