Football season ticket prices for guests rise

Students interested in bringing guests to Arizona home football games for the 1997 schedule can now purchase guest season tickets Ä for a price.

Last year, separate tickets had to be bought for $27 and the purchaser paid $18 for an activity card. Now, any UA student that has purchased season tickets can buy a guest season pass for $105 if they want sideline seats or $53 for end zone seats Ä 15-percent off of the price the general public pays but more than double last year's fee. Students can purchase up to two guest season tickets.

Pre-sales of regular season tickets continue through Friday, May 30.

Students can buy one set of season tickets for $27 for every valid UA student identification card they present to the ticket window.

There is still the option of buying tickets for each individual game at $6 each. This option only applies to students that are not season ticket holders.

Individual game tickets go on sale the week before the game until all seats are sold out or the game begins.

In the past, if students were not full-time they had to pay an activities fee to purchase tickets. This year either full-time or part-time students may purchase tickets without a fee.

Students can pick up their tickets at McKale Center beginning on August 25 and continuing until September 12.

Darlene Castelan, McKale ticket manager, said that there are 12,000 student seats available for each game. On the average there are 4-6,000 students who are season ticket holders each year.
