A male student reported that someone left a threatening message on his answering machine Monday in his room at Kaibab-Huachuca Residence Hall, 922 E. Fourth St.

The student told university police that he returned home about 3 a.m. and found a message on his machine stating, "I remember you from the party this weekend. If I see you again, I'm going to kill you," police reports stated.

Police reports stated that the unknown caller did not say who the message was for.

The student told police he has not been to a party and did not think the message was for him. He said he thought the caller dialed the wrong number.


A male student reported receiving a threatening message on his voice mail Monday at his office in Old Chemistry, 1306 E. University Blvd.

University police reports stated the voice was male and sounded "African American."

The message stated, "Hey (student's name withheld), I saw you at the conference. You're a dead man, I'm gonna kill you man. You fucked up. Stay away from my people. I will kill you," police reports stated.

The student told police he was at a conference April 26 but does not know who the caller is.

Police taped the message and placed the tape into evidence.


A male student reported Monday that about $1,985 in clothing apparel taken from his vehicle parked outside the Kappa Alpha fraternity house, 906 N. First Ave.

The student told police he parked his vehicle on the east side of the fraternity house April 21 about 11 a.m. The student said he went inside the house to unload clothes from his vehicle.

The student told police that while he carried the clothing into the house, he left the passenger door closed but unlocked.

The student told police that when he returned to his vehicle about 11:30 a.m., he found a clothing bag with the clothes missing.


A male employee reported items taken from his car Sunday parked north of the UA Associated Students Bookstore, 1209 E. University Blvd.

The employee told university police he secured his 1992 Nissan Sentra about 9 p.m. He said that $7 in cash was left in the ashtray, and an Airtouch cellular phone and a pager were in the glovebox.

The employee told police that when he returned to his car about 11:15 p.m. and found his glovebox open and the items missing.

Police reports stated that the employee said the rubber on the driver's side door appeared to have been "disturbed" by some sort of tool.

The cellular phone was valued at $180 and the pager at $40.


A female student reported her car had been vandalized Monday while parked in Lot 5065 north of Coronado Residence Hall, 882 E. Fifth St.

The student told university police that she parked her 1994 Honda Civic Sunday about 4:30 p.m. She said a friend noticed the car had been keyed Monday about 10:30 a.m.

The student told police the cars parked around hers were not damaged.

Police reports stated that a single key mark scratch ran from the front quarter panel of the car, along the passenger side door and to the rear quarter panel.

Another "light" scratch was also seen on the driver's side rear quarter panel, police reports stated.

The value of the damage was unknown.


A female student reported her backpack and the items in it stolen Monday from the UA Associated Students Bookstore, 1209 E. University Blvd.

The student told university police she left her Patagonia backpack unattended on the ground inside the bookstore about 10:40 a.m. When she returned at 11 a.m., the backpack was gone.

The backpack was valued at $50. The items in it included two spiral notebooks valued at $4, an acting text valued at $16, a white long sleeve undershirt valued at $20, a wallet valued at $80 and an endorsed check for $36.

The backpack also contained various cards of unknown value and a Aiwa brand portable AM/FM cassette player of unknown value.
