Arizona Summer Wildcat Wednesday The Summerfest '97 Distinguished Lecturer/ Multicultural Series presents "Reading and Writing Toward 2000," at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Modern Languages building. Southwestern writers will read from their works, illuminating diverse views of mul ticultural experience and higher education. Gallagher Theater presents "Spartacus" tonight through Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $2.50. Thursday Arizona Repertory Theatre presents "Arsenic and Old Lace," by Joseph Kesselring tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Laboratory Theatre in the Drama West building. The show will also run Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Tickets for the general public are $14, $12 for UA employees and seniors and $9 for students. Summerfest '97 presents VideoQUEER, a screening of videos by, for and about gays and lesbians, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building. The UA School of Music and Dance presents a summer opera, "The Merry Widow," by Franz Lehar at 8 p.m. in the Fine Arts Complex Crowder Hall. The show will also run Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. and at 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for the general public ar e $12, $10 for UA employees and $6 for students and seniors. Productions present the 10th anniversary of Ballet Folklorico San Juan. At the Tucson Convention Center Music Hall at 3 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Available at all TCC and Dillards box offices. Monday Gallagher Theatre presents "Shine" tonight and Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $2.50. The Associated Students UA Bookstore will be closed all day for end-of-year inventory.
