An iguana disappeared Friday from outside the Memorial Student Union, 1303 E. University Blvd.A Tucson man told university police he last saw his 3.5-foot lizard on the east side of the building at 5 p.m.
The iguana slipped into some plants near the building. The man said his iguana likes to climb and rest in warm places.
The iguana has not been found.
Three cars were damaged early Sunday morning in the parking lot outside the Corleone Apartments, 1330 N. Park Ave.
A male resident said he parked his car in the lot east of the building Saturday at 11 p.m. He returned Sunday at 9:20 a.m. to find the passenger- side, rear window broken.
Nothing was taken from the car, and the value of the damage was unknown.
Another male resident's 1981 Datsun was broken into around the same time.
The resident said he parked the car Sunday at 1 a.m. and returned at 11 a.m. to find the rear, driver-side window broken. The value of the damage was unknown, but two Sherwood speakers, valued at $20 each, were taken.
A third male resident parked in the lot Saturday at 11 p.m. When he returned at 11:15 a.m., the rear, driver-side window of his 1989 Volkswagen was broken.
A JVC stereo was taken from the car's dashboard, but a cellular phone was left undisturbed in its cradle next to the car's gear shift.
The value of the damage and the stolen stereo was unknown.
Two bicycles were taken Monday from outside the Engineering building, 1127 E. North Campus Drive.
A female student said she secured her front tire to the bicycle's frame with a U-lock and left the bicycle leaning against a tree at 9 a.m. When she returned at 10 a.m., the bicycle and lock were gone.
The black Stroker mountain bicycle was valued at $200 and the U-lock at $20.
At 8:45 a.m., another female student had secured the rear tire of her bicycle to the frame with a U-lock and left it leaning against a tree in front of the building. When she returned at 9:30 a.m., the bicycle and lock were missing.
The Rand Tidalwave mountain bicycle was valued at $200, and the value of the lock was unknown. University police advised one of the students to use a bicycle rack in the future.
One car was stolen from and another damaged in the UA lot at North Warren Avenue and East Mabel Street on Sunday.
A female student said she parked her 1986 Chevrolet Celebrity in the lot at 2:30 p.m. When she returned at 6:45 p.m., the vehicle was gone. There was shattered glass left in the parking space.
The car was recovered by the South Tucson Police Department later that night.
The car's driver-side window was broken, and several items were missing. A Wilson tennis racquet valued at $20, a pair of shoes valued at $45 and an Igloo cooler of unknown value were taken.
Another student parked his 1995 Oldsmobile in the lot Sunday at 9:30 a.m. He returned at 2:15 a.m. to find his passenger-side window smashed and his steering column cracked open.
The student was unable to start his car.
A Tupac Shakur cassette was removed from the car stereo. Nothing else was taken.
The value of the damage was unknown.
Three computers were taken from a storage space in Life Sciences North, 1333 N. Martin Ave.
A male employee told university police he noticed the chain link fence surrounding the space cut and pulled back Saturday at 12:34 p.m. At that time he noticed three computers missing from a shelf.
The three Toshiba Satellite computers were valued at $1,812 each.
