A non-student living in Babcock Inn Residence Hall, 1717 E. Speedway Blvd., was warned for criminal trespassing Monday.The man, who was not registered for classes, was told to leave the hall by Sept. 12. He made a verbal agreement with the hall director to stay until Monday, but at 9 p.m. that evening, he was still in his room.
University police accompanied the hall director to the room where the director asked for the man's keys. The man said he was waiting for a friend to bring a truck down from Utah to move his things.
The man agreed to leave his key with the hall director and speak to the Department of Residence Life about getting his property back.
Police warned the man that if he returned to the building without Residence Life permission, he would be charged with criminal trespassing.
A mental health patient complaining of a heart attack Monday at 12:12 a.m. called 911.
The call was made from the second floor of the McKale Center, 1721 E. Enke Drive.
Police searched McKale and the surrounding area and found the man on the east side of the Main Library.
The man had recently walked out of the Southern Arizona Mental Health Center. He was taken to the University Medical Center.
A truck was burglarized Tuesday while parked in a UA lot.
A female student said she parked her 1988 Chevrolet Blazer in the lot at East Seventh Street and North Highland Avenue at 9:30 a.m. She returned at 5:15 p.m. to find the passenger's side window broken.
The truck's cassette player and the student's beige purse were taken, and the steering column was damaged.
The damage to the window was valued at $85 and the value of damage to the column was unknown. The Kenwood cassette player was valued at $200 and the purse at $55.
A bicycle was stripped Tuesday outside of Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St.
The derailleur, derailleur cable and a quick release axle were removed from the student's Cannondale bicycle. The value of the items was unknown.
A wallet was taken Tuesday from a locker in the Student Recreation Center, 1400 E. Sixth St.
A female student said she left her wallet in her backpack in an unlocked locker at 1 p.m. She went to eat at 5 p.m., reached into her backpack and discovered her wallet missing.
The wallet contained four credit cards, a driver license and $10 cash.
A bicycle was stolen early Tuesday morning from outside the Memorial Student Union, 1303 E. University Blvd.
A male student secured his bicycle to a rack with a U-lock Monday at 11:45 p.m. He returned from dining in the Student Union to find his bicycle and U-lock missing.
The blue Huffy mountain bicycle was valued at $200 and the value of the U-lock was unknown.
A bicycle was stolen Monday from outside the Harshbarger Building, 1133 E. North Campus Drive.
A female student said she secured her bicycle at 8 a.m. to a rack on the southwest side of the building with a cable lock. She returned at 9:50 a.m. to find the bicycle and lock gone.
The Fischer Tassajara mountain bicycle was valued at $500. The value of the lock was unknown.
The student said a strange man holding something in his hands had greeted her as she left the bicycle rack area.
A key ring was lost Tuesday in Economics building, 1110 E. North Campus Drive.
A male student told university police he thought he had left his key ring in a second floor room at 6:30 p.m. Police escorted him to the room but did not have the correct key and the door could not be opened.
The student was told he would be notified if his keys are turned in to police.
