- The Center for Computing and Information Technology is offering a free workshop, "Introduction to the Internet," in Room 311 of the Science and Engineering Library from noon until 2 p.m. Topics include introductions to Internet terms, history, tools, utilities and resources. Participants will leave the class knowing how to access the World Wide Web using Netscape Navigator.
- The Center for Computing and Information Technology is offering a free workshop on QuickSearch, a do-it-yourself computer retrieval system, in the Science and Engineering Library Room 311 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The purpose of the service is to allow the university community to do computer literature searches without personal costs.
- The Center for Computing and Information Technology is offering a free workshop on using the interlibrary loan service in Room 311 of the Science and Engineering Library from 4 to 5 p.m. The purpose of the workshop is to learn how to obtain books and articles not available at the UA library.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre presents "The Cable Guy" at 7:30 and 9:25 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
