- A performance poetry contest is being held in the Memorial Student Union's Cellar at 7 p.m. The contest is open to all students who will recite three minutes of poetry to be judged by five volunteers from the audience. Prizes will be awarded.
- The Center For Creative Photography presents "Crimes and Splendors: The Desert Cantos of Richard Misrach" Monday through Friday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. The exhibit will show through Dec. 1.
- Cliffhangers presents Steve Scott's slide show of "Trekking in Ladkh" in the cactus lounge of the Memorial Student Union at 6 p.m. Ladkh is a region of the Himilayas, located in northern India which contains several 7,000 meter peaks. Scott, who has been climbing for 16 years, has extensively targeted the western United States, Canada, Squamish and the Bugaboos.
- The Memorial Student Union Gallagher Theatre presents "Mystery Science Theater 3000 The Movie" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. "Heavy Metal" is showing at midnight. Admission is $2.50.
- The Spanish Coffee Hour is meeting in Modern Languages, Room 521 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to practice conversational Spanish. All are welcome to attend.
- The Golden Key National Honor Society is meeting in Harvill, Room 337 at 7 p.m. to discuss planning 1996 induction ceremony for newly inducted members. All are encouraged to come see what the GKNHS is all about.
- Pi Kappa Phi is holding its last rush information meeting before receiving its charter in November. All members who join the fraternity before November will be known as founding fathers. The meeting is being held in Memorial Student Union Cactus Lounge, Room 283 at 7 p.m.
- The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive on the UA Mall from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
- The Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department presents William Coblenz of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to speck on solid freedom manufacturing programs at DARPA in Aeronautical Engineering, Room 201 at 4 p.m.
