- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "Mystery Science Theater 3000 the Movie" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. "Heavy Metal" is showing at midnight. Admission is $2.50.
- The Center for Computing and Information Technology is offering a free workshop on how to Create Your Own Homepage in Science and Engineering Library Room 311 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The workshop offers instruction on how to use Hypertext MarkUp Language to create your own World Wide Web home page.
- The Chicano Hispanic Resource Center is hosting an open house at its new location in Economics Room 211 from noon until 5 p.m. in an effort to give the campus community a chance to see the new location and learn about the services they offer.
- The School of Music and Dance presents a Wind Area Recital in Holsclaw Recital Hall of the Music building at 11 a.m. Admission is free.
- Saturday and Sunday, the School of Music and Dance presents the Symphony Orchestra in the Crowder Hall of the Music building at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $6, $5, and $3 and can be purchased at the Fine Arts Box Office. For more information call 621-1162.
- Raul Saba, associate director of the Latin American Area Center will speak on the subject of Peru's Border with Ecuador: Conflict and Development in Social Sciences Room 332 from noon until 12:50 p.m.
