A female student was reportedly harassed Friday as she walked near the Anthropology building, 1010 E. University Blvd.

The student told police she was walking near the building at 12:50 p.m., when a man approached her "moaning and groaning."

She said the man told her, "You look so good" and continuing to moan saying, "You look so good I could jerk off right now."

The student walked away.

University police searched the area but were unable to find the man.

A man of similar description was reported to have exposed himself to a woman near the Corleone Apartments, 1330 N. Park Ave., about 20 minutes earlier.


A female student reported Saturday that she had received harassing notes in Maricopa Residence Hall, 1031 E. North Campus Drive.

The student received the first note Thursday at 10 p.m. It read, "If spicks don't want to be called spicks they should go home to Mexico." The word "spick" was in red letters, while the other words were in black.

The student received a second note Saturday at 3 a.m. That note read "Slutty spick, mind your own business, and no one will fuck with your Mexican ass."

Both notes were attached to the student's door. There are no suspects.


Police saw a woman shoplifting Saturday at Circle K, 1150 E. Sixth St., according to police reports.

University police were buying drinks at the store at 1:37 a.m., when they noticed a woman, Christine P. Williams, 33, of a general delivery address, stuff something under her jacket while another woman apparently distracted the store clerk.

Police stopped Williams outside the store. As she turned around, two cartons of cigarettes fell out from under her jacket, reports stated.

She also had two packs of cigarettes and a cigarette lighter.

The value of the cartons of Cambridge Light 100's was $42.78. The two packs of Newport 100's were valued at $4.82 and the lighter at 89 cents.

Williams was arrested on a charge of shoplifting and turned over to the Tucson Police Department.


A female student reported being struck Sunday by a water balloon as she walked near Apache-Santa Cruz Residence Hall, 1420 E. Sixth St.

The student was walking home from the Student Recreation Center when the balloon hit her on the right leg. She told university police she did not see where the balloon came from.

The student was not injured.


A wheelchair was found abandoned Saturday morning outside La Paz Residence Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave.

University police first saw the scooter-type wheelchair Friday at 11:45 p.m. at the northwest corner of the hall.

The desk clerk said the chair had been there for a few days.

The officer returned to the hall Saturday at 12:56 a.m., and the chair was still in the same place. It was placed into property.


An All Aboard meal card was reported stolen Sunday from the Memorial Student Union, 1303 E. University Blvd.

A female student said she thought her card was taken from her wallet while she ate in Louie's Lower Level. She last saw the card Saturday at 7:45 p.m. She noticed it missing Sunday at 1 a.m.

The student told university police she had not seen anyone near her wallet. The card was valued at $230.


Two men sitting by a campus dumpster Saturday were warned for trespassing by university police.

The two men were sitting near the dumpster outside the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house, 1801 E. First St., at 9:42 p.m. when police approached them. The two men were warned for trespassing.

A computer check showed that one of the men, Reynaldo M. Maldonado, 49, whose address was listed as a post office box, was wanted for failure to appear on charges of trespassing.

He was arrested and booked into Pima County Jail.
