An evicted man was reported trespassing Friday at Babcock Inn, 1717 E. Speedway Blvd.

A resident assistant called university police at 7:09 p.m. The RA did not know when the man was evicted, but all Babcock RAs were told to call police if the man was seen.

Police did not find the man, but were given a picture of him for future reference.


A large sum of cash was taken Monday from an office in the Martin Luther King Jr. Building, 1322 E. First St.

A female employee told university police she left her purse on her desk and left the office twice between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. She noticed the purse missing at 5:30 p.m.

The purse was found in the building. It was missing $180 in cash.


An unknown man was seen "rummaging" through a female student's vehicle Sunday.

The student was leaving Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity, 1449 N. Cherry Ave., at 1:31 a.m. when she saw the man in her 1989 Jeep.

The man hopped into his car and drove off. He was last seen heading east on East Drachman Street.

Nothing was taken from the Jeep.


A man was seen walking away from the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, 1302 N. Vine Ave., Saturday holding what appeared to be a car stereo.

A male student saw the man leaving at 4:04 a.m. The student then located a black Dodge with its driver side window smashed and its stereo missing.

The owner of the car told police his AM/FM compact disc stereo was less than three weeks old.

The stereo had been pried out of the dashboard and a Phillips screwdriver was left on the passenger seat.

The Pioneer stereo was valued at $800. The value of the damage to the window and dashboard was unknown.


Two bicycles were reported stolen Monday.

The first was stolen from outside the Education building, 1430 E. Second St.

A male student said he locked his bicycle to a rack on the west side of the building at 8 a.m. He used a chain lock to secure his bicycle.

The student returned at 3 p.m. to discover the bicycle and the lock gone.

The Murray Wind River mountain bicycle was valued at $125.

The second was taken from outside Old Chemistry, 1306 E. University Blvd.

A male student secured his bicycle to a rack with a chain lock at 8:30 a.m.

When he returned at 4:45 p.m., both lock and bicycle were missing.

The green Murray bicycle was valued at $250.


A wallet was taken Saturday from a car parked at Corleone Apartments, 1330 N. Park Ave.

A female student parked her car in the lot east of the building at 1:15 a.m. When she returned at 1:45 a.m., the passenger side rear window was broken and her wallet was gone.

The zippered wallet contained several credit and bank cards and identification, but no money.

The value of the damage to the window was unknown.


Part of an office door was removed this weekend in the Art building, 1031 N. Olive Road.

A female employee told university police the metal vent at the bottom of her door was removed and placed on her desk chair.

The door was in one piece when the employee left her office, Friday at 4 p.m. She returned to her office Monday at 7:35 a.m. to find the vent removed.

Nothing was taken from the office.

The value of the damage was unknown.


Vandalism was discovered Friday in the Park Avenue Garage, 1140 N. Park Ave.

Two panels from the ceiling of an elevator in the garage were removed between 8:42 p.m. and 9:12 p.m. The ceiling was found in pieces in the Olive Road Tunnel.

The perpetrators had attempted to pull off a "no skateboarding" sign in the garage, but had been unsuccessful. There was graffiti on the sign.

The value of the damage was unknown.
