- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing Eraser today, tomorrow and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Tonight's midnight special is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Admission is $2.50.
- Centennial Hall presents "Voices Across the Canyon," featuring the R. Carlos Nakai Quartet, at 8 p.m. The performance celebrates Canyon Record's 45th anniversary of recording Native American music. Tickets cost $15 for general admission and $11 with student identification. They are available at the Centennial Hall Box Office, 621-3341 and Dillard's Ticket Outlet, 638-4253.
- Following tomorrow's UA/Washington State football game, the University Activities Board is hosting "Dancing in the Cellar" in the Memorial Student Union until 1 a.m. Kamp student radio is supplying the music.
- The Brown Lecture Series presents Malcolm Compitello, of the UA, speaking on "Brazil's Pervasive Backlands: Da Xunha, Benet and Vargas Llosa," in Social Sciences Room 332 from noon until 12:50.
The Memorial Student Union's Cellar is hosting Comedy Corner with Mike Sterner from noon until 1 p.m. Admission is free.
- The Memorial Student Union's Cafe Sonora is hosting an all you-can-eat buffet from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. for $4.99. Beverages are included.
- OUTReach a networking organization for lesbian, gay and bisexuals is hosting a social gathering in the lobby of Hotel Congress, 311 E. Congress, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
- The Office of Arid Land Studies presents Kimberly Medley, of Miami University, speaking at 2 p.m. on "A Biogeographical View of Forests in Watersheds" in the Arid Lands Studies office's conference room 115A, 1955 E. Sixth St. Medley will address contemporary issues in forest-landscapes ecology drawing on field work form the Tana River Primate National Reserve in Kenya and rural watersheds in southwest Ohio.
- The Downtown area of Tucson is hosting Downtown Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Downtown Saturday Night from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
- ASUA in conjunction with the Advisory Student Association is hosting the first ever debate watches in McKale's Sky Box beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday. After the presidential debate student government representatives will lead group discussions regarding the debate, the politicians and political issues.
- Kaplan Educational Center is offering a free LSAT orientation seminar on test taking strategies, test topics and preparation options at Kaplan, 903 E. University Blvd., Suite E from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Kaplan center is a nationally recognized testing preparation business that also offers career services and student loan information programs.
