A series of strange calls were reported to university police Wednesday.

A female employee reported that a male has been calling the College of Pharmacy, 1703 E. Mabel St., repeatedly since 1993. The caller asks for admissions information and applications, but has never responded.

The caller calls everyday for a week, then does not call for weeks, the employee told police. He last called Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

The man's mother had called the college and told the employees not to talk to the man because he was "sick," the employee told police.

The calls were not deemed obscene, but the college has begun a log of them.

University police were called Wednesday at 11:31 a.m. after an argument occurred in South Hall, 1042 E. South Campus Drive.

A male student was called into the Air Force ROTC's office to discuss his discipline and grooming, police reports stated.

The meeting broke down into an argument, and the student was asked to turn in his uniform. He refused and was told his grades could be affected.

The student became upset, made a fist, and shouted at the officers, "Hey, hey, hey," then ran off, police reports stated.

The student returned while police were at the scene.

He told police, "The military is not educated. They want to yell and push you around."

The student had his drop/add form for ROTC with him, and the ROTC officers signed it. He later turned in his uniform.

The student was referred to the Dean of Students Diversion Program.

A report of a man in a women's restroom Wednesday at 5:55 p.m. brought university police back to South Hall, 1042 E. South Campus Drive.

Police found the man outside the Family and Consumer Resources building, 1110 E. South Campus Drive. He said he had been in the restroom collecting data for a court case and that two girls were in the restroom practicing the violin.

A male employee told police his daughter and another girl actually were in the restroom playing the violin. They were not harassed.

The man was warned for criminal trespassing.

A male student found his stolen bicycle Tuesday outside the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building, 1118 E. Fourth St.

The student said his bicycle was taken from the basement of the Memorial Student Union, 1303 E. University Blvd., between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sept. 12.

The student was walking near the north side of PAS when he noticed his teal Specialized Hard Rock bicycle secured to a rack with someone else's U-lock. The student provided university police with proof of ownership, and a police U-lock was placed on the bicycle.

At 1:15 p.m., a female student walked near the bicycle, saw the two locks and walked away. Police stopped the student.

The female student said she had been trying to find her bicycle, thought she had found it, then saw the two locks. The female student told police her boyfriend had just bought her the bicycle.

The female student's boyfriend, also a student, met police at UAPD headquarters. He told police he had purchased the bicycle from a man named James for $30. The man had the bicycle in the back seat of a Buick. The bicycle is valued at $269.49.

The bicycle was returned to its owner. No arrests were made.

A plastic bag containing marijuana was found Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. on the patio outside Slonaker House, 1017 E. Second St.

A female employee told police she was cleaning up around the patio when she found the Ziploc bag and the material she thought might be marijuana. She continued to clean up, putting several cigarette butts and other trash into the bag with the marijuana.

Police identified the "green, leafy, vegetable looking substance" in the bag as marijuana. Police weighed the bag and all of its contents and found it to weigh 31.2 grams. The bag and everything in it were placed into evidence.
