Suspicious activity was reported Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the College of Law's library, 1201 E. Speedway Blvd.

A library employee reported a man in the library's basement lying on the floor trying to look up the shorts of female patrons.

As university police spoke with the employee, the man in question walked by.

The man told police he was on the floor looking for a book, not looking up women's shorts.

The man was warned for trespassing and informed he could not be in the library without legitimate business.

A fake parking permit was discovered Monday, and its owner was cited for theft.

A Parking and Transportation Services officer immobilized a 1990 Geo Storm when the officer discovered the false permit. The permit was made of a "thin, foil type paper," as opposed to the thicker cardboard of a real permit, police reports stated.

The permit in question had printing on just one side and had its numbers out of order, the reports stated.

Police spoke to the driver of the vehicle at the Main Gate Center, 888 N. Euclid Ave.

Mark A. Selby, 28, of the 2000 block of North Alvernon Way, told police he made the permit using his Macintosh computer and a scanner. He told them he had gotten the "Wildcat logo" off a notebook and had the font for the numbers on his computer.

Selby told police he made the permit to save money.

The value of a valid parking permit is $260.

Selby was cited for theft of services and released.

He was then booked into Pima County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and false reporting to a peace officer.

A car was vandalized Thursday in the UA lot at East Second Street and North Highland Avenue.

A female employee parked her 1966 Ford Mustang in a handicapped space at 8 a.m. When she returned at 5 p.m., she discovered a handicapped symbol drawn on passenger side door with black marker.

In a different lot on Wednesday, the employee told university police numerous stickers with the handicapped symbol on them had been stuck on her car.

The woman has a handicapped permit.

A key ring and keys were taken Sunday from the Science Library, 744 N. Highland Ave.

A female student was studying on the library's first floor at 11 p.m. She got up to use a computer, leaving her keys on the table where she had been studying. When she returned at 11:25 p.m., the key ring was gone.

The key ring, which read "Sexy bitches carry red key rings," held keys to the student's residence hall room and car.
