- The Sierra Club is presenting a slide show of the French Societies: Tahiti and Bora Bora in the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building Room 201 at 7:45 p.m.
Members Shari and Richard Thompson will share and discuss slides of their trip through Tahiti and rural Raiatea where they chartered a 39-foot sloop for two weeks sailing to Tahaa and Bora Bora.
The public is invited and admission is free.
- Career Services is offering a free mock interviewing program in Old Main Room 226 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. to help students prepare for job interviews.
Students will interview with a mock employer while being video taped. After the interview groups of five student will critique the individual interviews.
- The Rotunda Gallery in the Memorial Student Union is displaying the exhibit "Ma Table Cuisine," by Marilyn Szabo from 8 a.m. until midnight.
The series of photographs depict everyday kitchen tools. Szabo said she has attempted to make these common pedestrian objects seem exotic and mysterious.
For15 years Szabo has made photographs in black and white, color and non-silver techniques in various sizes. She also teaches at the Phoenix Center.
- The Engineering Department presents Brenda Rayco, of the UA, to speak on the "Demand Point Aggregation for a p-Center Model," in the Engineering building Room 301 at 2 p.m.
Rayco will discuss how the maximum objective function error between true and aggregated problems can be predicted prior to solving the aggregated problem.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallager Theatre is showing "The Rock" at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
Fact of the Day
Escort Services, an Associated Students program that provides students with rides to their homes and cars, escorted 94 people to their destinations Tuesday night.
