The search has begun for the newest runway models in Seventeen magazine's college model search.

Seventeen on Campus, a program designed to reach college students, is making it's fifth and final stop today on the University of Arizona Mall.

Activities will include a model search and complimentary make-overs from Lancăme as well as samples from other Seventeen on Campus sponsors, according to a press release from Seventeen.

All students, both men and women, are eligible to enter the model search held by Seventeen. Those selected at the model search will participate in a fashion show Saturday at Tucson Mall, said Robyn Waldman of Seventeen magazine's publicity office.

The students participating in the fashion show at Tucson Mall will be working with professional models from the Leighton Agency Inc., the press release stated.

According to Waldman, the contestants will be involved in an application process and then participate in a runway walk. The judges will be looking for students that feel natural on the runway and those whose personalities come out.

"We are not going for that 'modelly' look," Waldman said.

She said that while the contestants are not specifically going to be photographed for the magazine, the fashion show will be photographed and those photos may lead to other things.

"It is a great opportunity for these kids to get exposure," Waldman said.

In addition to the fashion show and free samples during Tucson Mall's activities, those in attendance will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of Brian Gaskill, "Bobby Warner" of ABC's "All My Children."

Activities on the UA Mall today will be from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Tucson Mall events start at 11 a.m. Saturday and conclude with the fashion show in the center court at 1 p.m.
