- The final open dialogue for "Healing of Racism" is being held in the Park Student Union's Green Conference Room from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The open dialogue is designed to provide a safe and respectful atmosphere for individuals to learn new information, share experiences and ask questions, according to a press release from the event's sponsor, the University Baha'i Club and the University Activities Board's Eye on Diversity Committee.
- SANKOFA, the African American faculty and staff association at the UA, presents "Election 96: Why We Should Vote," in the Main Library, Room A313 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
The dialogue will consist of a panel of experts to discuss party platforms and propositions on the ballot.
- The University of Arizona versus Arizona State University Blood Donor Challenge is taking place on the UA Mall from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The blood drive is an effort to help the Red Cross while raising school spirit. Each donor receives a free T-shirt.
The competition will continue through Friday.
- Graduate-school-bound students are encouraged to attend the free "Guide to Admissions, How to Get in" Seminars, in the Alumni Association Building, 1111 N. Cherry, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Deans for the UA graduate schools will present information and answer questions about how to apply for and finance graduate school. They will also discuss professional trends in the business market.
- The Center for Computing and Information Technology is offering a free workshop on the OVID Search Software in the Science and Engineering Library, Room 311, from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m.
The workshop will cover the business information software ABI-Inform, biology software BIOSIS, Current Contents and Health Related Databases.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "The Nutty Professor" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
Fact of the Day
During the fall 1995 semester the average age of an undergraduate at the UA was 21. The average age of a graduate student was 30.
