- The Math Department presents a multi-speaker presentation on "Does Animation Have You in Knots?" in the Math building Room 101 at 2 p.m.
The presentation will include three different methods on how to animate web pages: server push, gifmerge and mpeg_play in both in-line and external view wed page formats.
- The Center for Computing and Information Technology offers a free workshop on how to use Sabio/Journal databases in the Main Library from noon until 2 p.m.
The workshop will discuss how to use the UA library information system, including the library's on-line catalog and journal databases such as ERIC, PsycInfo and Expanded Academic Index.
- Today is the last day of the University of Arizona versus Arizona State University Blood Donor Challenge. It is taking place on the UA Mall from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The blood drive is an effort to help the Red Cross while raising school spirit. Each donor receives a free T-shirt.
- The School of Music and Dance presents "Family Ties" in the Gittings Theatre at 5:30 p.m.
The theme of the dance concert coincides with Family Weekend. Admission is $7.50.
- The Student Activities Board sponsors Comedy Corner in the Memorial Student Union's Cellar after the football game tomorrow at 11 p.m.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "The Nutty Professor" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
