- The Latin American Area Center presents Carlos Castillo Peraza to speak on "Where is Mexico Going?" in Modern Languages, Room 350 at 7 p.m.
Peraza, Secretary of International Relations of the National Action Party, is the second speaker of the fall lecture series on Mexican politics. He will address Mexico's current crisis and future challenges.
- The Center for Computing and Information Technology is offering a free workshop "Introduction to the Internet" in the Main Library, Room A315 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The workshop will cover Internet terms, history, utilities and resources. Participants should leave the class knowing how to access the World Wide Web using Netscape Navigator. Participants should be familiar with the Windows program.
The purpose of the service is to allow the UA community to do their own computer literature searches without personal cost. A valid UA identification card is required.
- Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering presents Barbara Timmermann, of the UA, to speak on "Natural Product Discovery and Development: A New Perspective on International Collaboration," in the Shantz Building, Room 440 at noon. Refreshments will be served.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "A Time to Kill" at 7:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
