A male student told university police that the computer and several other items were in his room when he left at 9 p.m. Friday. He returned Saturday at 11 a.m. and discovered the computer was missing.

The student told police that only his roommate knew where his computer was hidden.

The Compaq LT 5000 computer was valued at $4,000. A bottle of Eternity cologne and a bottle of Cool Water cologne were also taken, each valued at $25. Also taken was an Arizona driver license and a black leather carrying case of unknown value.

Reports of a suspicious male Saturday at 8:17 a.m. brought university police to La Paz Residence Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave.

An unidentified caller told police a male wearing a red bandana was in a bike lot on the east side of the hall "pulling on bikes."

When police arrived, the man, Myron R. Bule, 39, of the 4000 block of North La Cholla Boulevard, was kneeling by a black bicycle. The bicycle's wire lock was almost entirely cut and Bule held a pair of wire cutters, according to police reports.

Bule stopped cutting when he noticed the police officers. According to police reports, he told police he had a "conscience" and stopped cutting because "he realized what he was doing was wrong."

Bule was cited for attempted theft and released. His picture was taken by police for future reference.

University police responded to a report of a disturbance early Saturday at the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity house, 1050 N. Cherry Ave.

An ATO officer called police at 2:24 a.m. after a conflict with two unknown males.

The ATO officer reported that several fraternity members had confronted the men, who were already involved in a conflict with a woman, and that the fraternity members were trying to help the woman when the men began threatening them.

The ATO officer told police one of the men reached into his car to get a gun, while the second man reached into his pants as if he had a gun there.

According to police reports, one of the fraternity members saw the gun. The two men then drove away.

UAPD received a report of several prank phone calls made to Manzanita-Mohave Residence Hall, 1000 N. Park Ave.

A resident assistant reported that a person calling himself "Steve" called every room on the second floor of the southwest wing. The caller reportedly made sexual remarks to females who answered the phone.

The calling spree began Saturday at 2 p.m and continued through 1:30 p.m. Sunday, when the calls had spread to the second and third floors of the north side of the hall, the resident assistant told police.

Police told the resident assistant that future calls could be traced through the Center for Computing and Information Technology.

University police were called Saturday morning to Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority house, 1435 E. Second St., after receiving reports of a man trying to break in.

A female student told police she saw the man walking "peculiarly," with his head tilted to one side.

When another house resident asked the man what he wanted, he told her to "open the fucking door," according to police reports.

The man then went around the house banging on windows.

Police arrived and found Chase P. Kelly, 19, of the 1700 block of East Glenn Street, sweating "profusely" and smelling of liquor. He had a false Arizona driver license and told police he had drunk gin and beer that he had purchased using the license.

He also had a vial containing 4.5 grams of a white powder suspected to be cocaine, police reports stated.

According to police reports, Kelly said he "only wanted to get drunk and have a good time."

Kelly was cited for possession of cocaine, trespassing in the first degree, criminal damage, illegal consumption of alcohol and possession of a fraudulent license. He was booked into Pima County Jail.

A UA employee called university police Friday at 4:45 p.m. after his car was vandalized.

The employee parked his Toyota Tercel in a handicapped space at 8 a.m. in a lot at Second Street and Highland Avenue.

When he returned, he found someone had written "asshole," "illegal," "handicapped?," "moron," and "read the fucking sign," in black marker on the car.

The man did not have a handicapped license plate, but he did have a Parking and Transportation Services issued handicapped permit.
