If statistics hold true, the soccer team may be in trouble.

All of Arizona's five wins this season have come in first-time matchups with opponents this year. In their history, the Wildcats have already faced all three of their remaining opponents this season.

Arizona (5-11 overall, 0-6 in the Pacific 10 Conference) closes its home schedule this weekend with matches against Washington State tonight at 7 p.m. and Cal-State Fullerton at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Both games will be played at Wildcat Soccer Field.

"All we can do at this point is take each game at a time," senior Jennifer Rickard said. "We have three games left and there would be nothing better than to go out and win these next three games."

Washington State (5-6-2, 2-3) has proven to be a tough team. Sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Glazer has recorded four shutouts this season and has a 1.00 goals against average, sixth in the West Region.

Fullerton, a fourth-year program, stands at 13-3-1 and is on an eight-game winning streak.

Both teams won their only other matchups with Arizona in their histories.
