- The Center for Computing and Information Technology offers "Internet: Beyond the Basics," a free workshop in the Science and Engineering Library Room 311 from 10 a.m. until noon.
The workshop will cover the features of Netscape Navigator software including advanced searching techniques, file transfer protocol and bookmarks. The workshop is designed for those who have attended the Introduction to the Internet workshop.
- The Fall German Studies Film Series presents "Stroszek" in the Modern Languages Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
The film is about Bruno Stroszek, an ex-convict, who offers refuge to a battered prostitute and their adventures together which lead them to the United States.
- UA Presents "American Rhythms." The Guitar Trio of Paco De Lucia, Al Di Meola and John McLaughlin perform in Centennial Hall 7:30 p.m.

- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre shows "Matilda" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
