A report of a student dealing prescription medication Thursday brought university police to Babcock Inn, 1717 E. Speedway Blvd.A male student told police that he had seen his roommate, Jeffrey S. Lemberger, 18, crushing Ritalin and snorting it.
Other residents told police they had seen Lemberger snorting prescription medication and that he had offered to sell it.
Lemberger told police he was on Ritalin for Attention Deficit Disorder. He said he and three friends had been snorting Adderall the day before. According to police reports, he said they had crushed between six and eight pills and had done two or three lines each.
Police reports stated Lemberger told officers he had a scale with 2.5 grams of crushed Ritalin in the bowl. He said he was going to sell the Ritalin for $25 but had never sold it.
Police found several prescription medicine bottles in Lemberger's desk, all prescribed to him, and three straws with Ritalin residue in them, police reports stated.
Lemberger was taken to police headquarters where he was cited for narcotics possession and/or use by another person. Lemberger was released on his promise to appear in court.
A man arrested for disorderly conduct called the Associated Students Escort Services Thursday looking for the man who had him arrested.
William W. Yeaton, 42, of the 1200 block of East Lee Street, called Escort Services, in ASUA's offices, 1209 E. University Blvd., twice, looking for director Tim Walker.
Yeaton called at 9:50 p.m. and told an Escort Services employee he wanted to speak with Walker. Yeaton told the employee he was going to prove Walker was a liar, the employee told police.
Yeaton called back a short time later to leave his phone number. Police reports stated that Yeaton told the employee it would be "common courtesy" for Walker to call him back because Walker "threw him in jail."
At 10:15 p.m., Yeaton called again and said he would "nail" Walker in court.
Walker told police he was not threatened, but would go to city court to get an injunction against the harassment.
Police called Yeaton to tell him to leave Walker alone. He agreed, but said he would prove Walker had lied.
Yeaton was arrested Oct. 28 on a disorderly conduct charge after a confrontation with Walker.
Two male students were cited Thursday after another male student called university police to complain about their yelling.
The student called police at 3 a.m. when he was awakened by three men yelling obscenities outside Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St.
The student was able to point out two of the men, Jonathan A. Pure, 18, and Scott A. Chase, 18, both residents of the hall.
Pure and Chase told police they had just been to Taco Bell and were seeing a friend off to the airport.
The student told police he was "100 percent sure" Pure and Chase had been yelling and said he wanted to press charges.
When police spoke to Pure, they smelled alcohol on his breath. Pure told police he had had two beers that night.
Pure was cited for charges of disturbing the peace and minor in possession of alcohol. Chase was cited for disturbing the peace. Both were released at the scene.
University police were called Wednesday after a female student reported strange charges made with her credit card.
The student told police her parents were notified by the credit card company when $500 was charged to her Visa card in October. The student's parents then called her.
The student told police she rarely took the card out of her room in Babcock Inn, 1717 E. Speedway Blvd. In fact, she said, the card was still in its usual place.
The student told police that only maintenance employees and her boyfriend had keys to her room.
The charges were made at a gas station, a Dillard's Department Store and another store.
