This season the Arizona volleyball team has come ful circle.

In the week of Sept. 17, it had a 9-1 non-conference record and was ranked 25th in the nation. Once the team entered Pacific 10 Conference play, however, its ranking dropped along with its win-loss percentage. Now, though, things are once again looking up for Arizona. The Wildcats are again ranked 25th and have a good shot at going to the NCAA Tournament.

"I told the girls that we need to take care of business one match at a time," Arizona head coach Dave Rubio said.

"If we do that, then I think we have a chance to get to the playoffs."

This weekend the 15th-ranked Washington Huskies (21-5 overall, 11-4 in Pac-10) and the eighth-ranked Washington State Cougars (21-4, 12-3) bring their wildly different styles to face the Wildcats at McKale Center.

Both today's and tomorrow's match will be played at 7 p.m.

"Washington has a little slower offense and is a more physical team," Rubio said. "Washington State has a much quicker offense that is a little unorthodox. They have a different set of adjustments that we have to solve."

The starting line-up for the Wildcats will include outside hitters Barb Bell, Michelle Fanger and Carolyn Penfield. The middle blockers will be Stephanie Venne and Erin Aldrich, and the setter will be Michaela Ebben. Key reserves will be Heidi Bomberger and Sara Johnson. Rubio also mentioned that middle blockers Keisha Johnson and Tamika Dennis will see playing time.

"I think this weekend is going to be big for the middles," Rubio said.

The Wildcats have a two-game win streak going into tonight's match with the Huskies.

"You always like your chance when you are playing at home," Rubio said. "We're in a position where we have to play well."
