The top 20 teams just keep on coming to play the Arizona Icecats.

No. 18 Wisconsin-Whitewater will be in Tucson this weekend for a two-game set with the Icecats.

Wisconsin-Whitewater (6-3) proved it can be competitive by defeating No. 2 Iowa State two weeks ago.

The Warhawks and the eighth-ranked Icecats face off at 7:30 p.m. at the Tucson Convention Center tonight and tomorrow.

Icecat coach Leo Golembiewski said the Warhawks are a quick team and always play tough.

"They are more a mirror of us," Golembiewski said. "They are a fine team."

Although Wisconsin-Whitewater may be as quick as the Icecats, consistency will be the key factor in the outcome of the two games.

"We can't come out flat and the job has to get done," Golembiewski said.

The job almost didn't get done last weekend, as the Icecats experienced their first reality check of the season against Illinois. The Illini jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period. But the Icecats' speed and senior Sam Battaglia's hat trick was enough to clinch the 7-4 win.

Golembiewski said the team has to be focused.

"We have to come out ready to play," he said. "We've had the right combination of rest and hard work this week at practice to prepare for it."
