The Library is offering a free workshop "Create your own Homepage" in the Main Library, Room A315 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The workshop will explain how to use Hypertext MarkUp Language to create a World Wide Web homepage. Participants should have a familiarity with the Windows environment.
- The School of Music and Dance presents the Arizona Wind Quintet as part of the Faculty Artist Series in Crowder Hall at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 for the general public, $8 for faculty and staff, and $5 for students.
The quintet will perform pieces including "Partita" by Irving Fine and "Rengaines" by Andre Souris. A pre-concert talk at 7 p.m. in the Music building Room 162 will discuss the four pieces of music that will be performed.
- The University Activities Board is hosting "Eat to the Beat" in the Cellar of the Memorial Student Union from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Jess Hawk Oakenstar is performing.
- The Physics Department presents Paul Sommers, of the University of Utah, to speak on "50-Joule Cosmic Rays: Where and How Are They Produced," in the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building Room 201 at 4 p.m.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre presents "She's the One" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:25 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
Fact of the Day In 1928 the Motion Picture Academy Awards was established. "Wings" was the first motion picture to receive an Oscar.
