- The graduate interdisciplinary program in genetics presents Bruce Walsh to speak on "The Evolution of New Gene Functions" in Bio Sciences West, Room 208 from 4 until 5 p.m.
- The Anthropology Department presents Derek Roberts, professor emeritus of Human Genetics at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, to speak on "A Continuing Relationship and New Challenges: Anthropology and Genetic Disease" in Anthropology, Room 216 at 4 p.m.
- The Chemistry Department presents Peter Skrdia, a UA graduate student, to speak on "Sonochemistry" in Chemistry and Biological Sciences, Room 218 at 4 p.m.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre shows "She's the One" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:25 p.m. Admission is free.
Fact of the Day
The Pharmacy Department collected 4,437 pounds of food for the Community Food Bank over the past four weeks. The College of Medicine collected 1,140 pounds of food and the College of Nursing collected 20.5 pounds of food.
