- The Arizona Cancer Center presents Mika Ala-Korpela, junior research fellow at the Academy of Finland, to speak on "Lipoprotein Structure Measured with High Resolution NMR," in the Arizona Cancer Center, Room 2920 from 9 to 9:50 a.m.
- The Chemistry Department presents Mukund Sibi, of North Dakota State University, to speak on "Enantioselective and Diastereos Elective Free Radical Reactions," in the Chemistry and Bio Sciences building, Room 218 at 4 p.m.
The Chemistry Department is also presenting Daniel Steinhurst, graduate student of Chemistry at the UA, to speak on "Reactivity of Clusters" in the Old Chemistry building, Room 134 at 4 p.m.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "Emma" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Admission $2.50.
Fact of the Day On average, Norwegians spent $137 on the purchase of books last year - more than any other county. Germans spent $122 on books. The average American spent $97 on books last year, up from $80 in 1991.
