University police arrested a man when they responded to the Main Library Wednesday at 6:36 p.m. after the man dialed 911, complaining of a seizure.

The man, John Roger Hoarn, 46, of a general delivery address, expressed discomfort when University of Arizona Police Department dispatch informed him that police would accompany medical help.

A computer check on Hoarn revealed a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear on a 1994 disorderly conduct charge through UAPD.

Hoarn had told dispatch he would be in the library, but when police arrived, Hoarn was found on the lawn northeast of the library at 1510 E. University Blvd.

He told police he had taken Benadryl, seen spots and fainted.

Hoarn was handcuffed and taken to Kino Community Hospital, 2800 E. Ajo Way.

In the ambulance, Hoarn threatened a university police officer. According to police reports, Hoarn told the officer he would get his .45-caliber gun, find out where the officer lived and shoot her.

While at the Kino Hospital, Hoarn "talked loudly" and had to be restrained and moved to separate room, reports stated.

Hoarn was released from the hospital and arrested on the warrant and for threats. He was booked into Pima County Jail.
