UA women fall to OSU

UA junior forward Adia Barnes became the all-time leading scorer in school history last night, but the Wildcats still fell 85-76 to Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore.

Needing only five points, Barnes' 24 easily helped her to surpass Timi Brown's 1,315 career record.

The Wildcats (13-4, 3-3 in the Pacific 10 Conference) will play Oregon in Eugene, Ore. tomorrow night at 8.

Despite a 29-28 haftime score, the Wildcats relinquished the lead two minutes into the second half and never recovered.

Down by as much as 12 points with four minutes to play, Arizona's foul trouble and OSU's (8-7, 2-4) sharp shooting were too much to overcome. Arizona shot just 36.4 percent from the floor. Barnes, and starters Marte Alexander and junior DeAngela Minter all fouled out with over four minutes to play.
