U of A - Today

• The Library offers a free workshop on how to use SABIO, the library's information system and journal databases in the Science and Engineering Library Room 311 from 10 a.m. until noon.

• The University Activities Board is hosting Comedy Corner in the Memorial Student Union's Cellar at noon. The show consists of original sketches as well as stand-up and improv comedy.

• The UA women's tennis team plays Stanford University at 1:30 p.m. at Robson Tennis Center. Tomorrow they play the University of California at 11 a.m. at Robson Tennis Center.

• The UA men's baseball team plays the University of New Mexico at 2:30 p.m. in McKale Center. Tomorrow and Sunday it plays New Mexico at 1 p.m. in McKale Center.

• The Math Department presents Robert Kusner, of the University of Massachusetts, to speak on "Lagrangian and Symplectic Structures for Constant Mean Curvature Moduli Spaces" at 2 p.m. in the Math Building Room 402.

  Also, the math department presents Jose Torres to speak on "Frequently Asked E-mail Questions," at 2 p.m. in the Math Building Room 224. The lecture focues on the UNIX E-mail system.

• The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "The First Wives Club" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:35 p.m. today tomorrow and Sunday. "Groundhog Day" is showing at midnight today and tomorrow. Admission is $2.50.

The University Medical Center ranked 31st in the nation for Americas best hospitals. Memorial Soloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York ranked number one in the nation.
