Constant coverage of Associated Students detracts from other issues

Editor:

A guide on the best way to read the Daily Wildcat: quickly scan the comics, check out the crossword, and possibly look over the world news to make sure Canada hasn't invaded yet. Does this reading pattern reflect an unintelligent reader or simply a condi tioned response to the lack of interesting material provided by the Wildcat's crack staff? I know the Wildcat has been criticized in the past for its lackluster reporting, but this semester you've simply outdone yourselves. You know, there is more happeni ng on this campus than ASUA melodramas. This campus consists of people other than Rhonda Wilson, Mindy McCollum, and some unknown guy named Eric Olsen whose incessant whinings have landed him in this paper almost daily.

Please, find some fresh air outside ASUA's offices and find more relevant, front page stories. Quit wasting your time counting heads at a meeting involving people and issues 99% of the UA community could care less about. Include us all. Now, do report the happenings of ASUA - they do good work. But, stop digging for stories that aren't there. There are no scandals, stop looking and broaden your horizons.
