By Scott Bricker Arizona Daily Wildcat February 11, 1997 Women's golf 2 shots behindThe No. 1 ranked Arizona women's golf team stands in second place after the first round of the Regional Challenge, after shooting a 301 today at the Par-71, 5,192 yard Palos Verdes Country Club.The Wildcats are two shots behind San Jose State, who carded a 301, followed by Stanford in third at 304, UCLA at 304 and Tulsa at 309. Arizona's Heather Graff finds herself in a five way tie for eighth place in the individual standings, after firing a 4-over-par 75. Marisa Baena is tied for 13th, after shooting a 76, while Jill Gomric and Jenna Daniels finished the day at 7-over-par 78. Stanford's Mahairi McKay holds the overall individual lead after recording a 2-over-par 73. The tournament continues today and tomorrow with the final two rounds of this 54 hole tourney.
