Preachers' words not in line with Jesus's teachings

Editor:

I am humiliated! The Feb. 13 Wildcat featured the "Mall preachers."

I am a Christian, but cannot condone or associate with the Mall preachers. Time and again I have met Christians who nauseate me.

They tell me about (and invite me on) these sorts of escapades.

Then they tell me they only have Christian friends so it's the only way they can share their faith.

Please don't make me ill! Jesus associated with prostitutes and swindlers.

He was looked down on by his peers for this. Yet he won far many more hearts by his friendship and caring than his peers by their snobbery.

He has called us to love people, not to berate them! In my opinion Mall preachers are doing Jesus a disservice by associating his holy name with mockery, harassment and dissent.

I hope people realize that not all Christians are like the obnoxious ones who use Christianity to excuse harassment.
