Sidelines

Stemming from the last two years of post-season success, the women's basketball team will have games broadcasted on national television four times this season.

The Wildcats advanced to the field of 32 in last year's NCAA Tournament and return all five starting players. Three of their TV appearances are on the Fox Sports Network and the other is on ESPN2.

The first date is Saturday, Jan. 17 at Arizona State in Phoenix (Fox Sports), then Jan. 31 against Kansas at the Pac 10/Big 12 Challenge hosted by Texas Tech in Lubbock, Tex. (ESPN2), followed by the Feb. 28 Stanford game in Palo Alto, Calif. (Fox Sports) and finishing with UCLA on March 7 at McKale Center (Fox Sports).

Arizona starts its season with the Red/Blue Scrimmage exhibition game at McKale Center on Nov. 6.

Saladin McCullough of Oregon returned the opening kickoff 93 yards in Oregon's 16-9 win Thursday in Eugene, Ore. - snapping the Wildcats' 11-year streak. It was the first return given up by a Dick Tomey-coached football team.
