Paying for a tan in Arizona is stupid

To the Editor:

This is a response to the story about tanning salons ("Tanning salons busy before spring break," Mar. 12). To those of you who pay $60 dollars to get a tan, one question, have you been outside lately? That's akin to selling refrigerators to the Eskimos.
