Arizona Daily Wildcat March 13, 1998 Police arrest armed robbery suspects in UA parking lotTwo armed robbery suspects were arrested last night in the University of Arizona facilities management motor pool, 1220 East Lowell Road.The two suspects, one man and one boy, were pursued by Tucson Police and the Pima County Sheriff's Department after they reportedly robbed the Holiday Inn Palo Verde, 4550 S. Palo Verde Road, Tucson police said. The suspects were arrested on charges armed robbery and auto theft, police said. Their name and ages were not available last night, police said. The suspects took police on a chase south on North Park Avenue about 11:15 p.m. before the suspects turned east onto East Lowell, police said. The suspect's car crashed through the motor pool's gate and the two suspects got out of the car, ditched a shot gun and started running through the parking lot, police said. The two were apprehended by police after two officers were injured in the pursuit, police said. The suspects were driving a 1985 Oldsmobile that a Tucson woman had reported stolen earlier yesterday, police said. The robbery is being investigated by the Pima County Sheriff's Department, while Tucson police handle the stolen car investigation, police said.
