Women's golf finishes second in Hawaii tourney

The Arizona women's golf team shot a final round score of 301 yesterday to finish three strokes behind Tulsa in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Rainbow Wahine Intercollegiate in Honolulu.

The Wildcat's finished 35 strokes over par outdistancing third place Louisiana State by eight strokes. The three-day event was held at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course (par 72, 6,552 yards).

Ashley Winn of LSU captured the individual title with a final round 74. Winn was the only golfer to finish the tournament with a score under par. Juniors Krissie Register and Shannon Ingalls were the top Wildcat performers finishing in a tie for eighth place at 225 (9-over-par). Heather Graff finished in a six-way tie for 20th at 231 (15-over-par).

The Arizona women return to the links April 5-7 at the Arizona State Ping Invitational in Tempe.
