By William A. Calder Library users, remember paper's rootsTo the Editor: "While [Scott Andrew Schulz] anxiously awaited the printout of a journal's call number..." he read of an impending 10 cent charge per page printed ("Putting money in the wrong places," Mar. 30). Ever try a pencil and scratch paper? That's all we had when trees served the paper needs of a world population half of the present 5.9 billion. With more people we should be less demanding! If library users take a whole sheet of paper for one dinky catalog number, there should be a charge to discourage such wastage! William A. Calder
