Correction

A Pima County grand jury did not indict a University of Arizona football player, two former players and another UA student as reported Wednesday ("Four indicted in bar brawl," Page 7). Tucson police and the Pima County Attorney's office provided incorrect information for the article.

Junior linebacker William W. "Scooter" Sprotte, 21, former stand-out wide receiver Richard P. Dice, 23, former defensive end John W. "Jimmy" Sprotte, 23, and undeclared sophomore Victor E. Hershberger, 21, have been served with criminal complaints, which were issued in Pima County Justice Court March 16, Tucson police Sgt. Eugene Mejia said yesterday.

Mejia said the error was the result of "inaccurate terminology" used by police.

The four men will face charges of aggravated assault when they appear in court April 28.

The charges stem from a Dec. 6 incident in which a group of men assaulted an unconscious man outside The Buffet bar, 538 E. Ninth St.
